Adib Fallahpour

I'm an AI researcher at Arc Institute and Vector Institute, working with Bo Wang and Hani Goodarzi while studying Computer Science and Neuroscience at the University of Toronto.

I lead the BioReason team, where we developed the first reasoning model in biology. The team has grown to over 20 researchers and engineers advancing the frontier of AI in biology.

My goal is to build biological superintelligence; models that reason about life from DNA to disease.

On the Meaning of Life

I often contemplate the meaning of life. Currently, I believe life is meaningless if the chain of intelligence breaks at anytime in the future. Conversely, I've found purpose in increasing the breadth and depth of intelligence such that it, in billions of years down the road, it can give rise to new universes and keep the chain going. I'm not sure if, when, or how my perspective might change.

Community

I enjoy building communities. I founded GenAI Genesis, Canada's largest AI hackathon, bringing thousands together to build cool AI projects. I also led the Google Developer Group at my campus.
